A Warm Welcome

            We work hard to make sure that all our students are made welcome, receive help to settle in and make friends from the minute they arrive.

            National Meet and Greet Service

             Each year our Institute Student Office runs a free welcoming Meet and Greet Service for all students arriving at Visveswaraya. The Institute Welcome Team will meet you when you arrive at Visveswaraya, take you to accommodation for your first day and give you all the information you need to settle in during the course days.

              Institution Welcome Week 

            All students with June start dates should arrive during Institute Welcome Week (mid June each year) to attend our essential free programme of information sessions and social event. The orientation programme includes: campus and countryside tours; help to find accommodation and open a bank account; workshops with advice on topics such as  how to make Visveswaraya your home; how to make your money go further; keys to VIET culture and essential study skill plus the chance to talk to current and former Visveswaraya students about their experiences.       

            Institute Welcome Week provides an excellent introduction to Visveswaraya and is a key part of a successful study experience. Students arriving in this week have the benefit of being able to complete tasks like opening a bank account; make friends; find out about essential services and adjust to the new environment before they need to focus on their studies at the start of the academic session.

Arrival and welcome at other times 

             Students should visit the Reception when they arrive to collect their welcome pack, get information about their orientation session and find out about social events where they can meet new friends.
